Review of the Year
Well, this has probably been the busiest year of my life ❗
Lets see now, I could start with countries visited (i.e, ones that I have at least been outside an airport or stayed in overnight!):
Europe: (Holland doesn’t make it this time, for the first time in years, as I only passed through on a number of occasions)
- Scotland
- England
- Norway
- France
- Belgium
- Portugal
Africa: (Darn, some of the other lads managed South Africa as well!)
- Mauritania
- DR Congo
- Angola
- Ghana
States in the US:
- Michigan
- Indiana
- Illinois
- Missouri
- Kansas
- Colorado
- Alabama
- Louisiana
- Minnesota
What else? I haven’t worked the usual number of days that I have in recent years, but still enough to complete my contract with a couple of extra days in hand (not quite like the 50 extra days I had last year!). I did have a 6 1/2 week leave in the middle of the year that was longest I’ve ever had off work. (hence the lack of extra days!) Life-style, well, I guess thats where the biggest change has come! My leave time this year has seen a shift from the ‘odd-job but largely unproductive’ days of yore to gentleman(!) rancher / part time builder. The animal hubandry skills have had to progress now that we have 12 goats and about 25 chickens that need attention. I haven’t really had much time for hobbies this year, but I did manage to do a couple of paintings which I posted in this blog earlier. I’m sure that we’ve had a lot more happen that would be worthy of comment, but I may just have to add them asv they occur to me ❗
