Well, not a good day for my chosen teams… In Rugby, Scotland were defeated 42-20 by England at Twickenham in their opening game of the 6 nations championship. Buckie Thistle lost 3-0 away to Keith, bringing their unbeaten League run to an end. They are still top of the league table though, with a game or two in hand. In the Scottish Cup, Deveronvale (the last of the ‘minnows’) succumbed to Partick Thistle. Deveronvale had previously knocked out Elgin City, the team that eliminated Buckie from the tournament. So what has to come? Next week, Scotland host Wales in the 6 nations while England host Italy (and I would guess that England are counting their three points from that match already!) In the Highland League Buckie Thistle play at home with Clachnacuddin who are sitting mid-table having played four games more than Buckie.
