Well, the BrawnGP team lived up to the promise they showed in qualifying. I commented on their qualifying achievement being the the first since 1970. Well their race result, a 1-2 finish by a new team, was last done over 50 years ago, when J.M.Fangio and K.Kling did it in 1954 with Mercedes. Interesting to note, that the Brawn cars have Mercedes engines!
The other big story from the race was Lewis Hamilton, the reigning world champion, finishing in third place. His new McLaren car has seriously underperformed so far, and he started practically at the back of the grid. Admittedly a number of cars ahead of him crashed out, or failed to finish with reliability problems, but third was still a good days work in a car that has been well of the pace.
